Manicuring Candidate is the seventh episode of Season 1 of Bratz: The Series.

Plot

Cloe, Dylan, and the Tweevils are running for the election to determined who will be Stiles High's class president. Dylan and Cloe have a falling out and Cloe wants to leave the race. But when the Bratz discover that Tweevils are in the race at Burdine's request and for nefarious reasons, Cloe reenters and teams up with Dylan, who realizes that Cloe is really the better candidate.

Synopsis

Cloe receives a reader letter from Dana who asks if Cloe is planning to run for Class President at Stiles High again. But with keeping up her grades and her job at the magazine she doesn't have time to run again.

Kirstee and Kaycee announce their intentions to run for class President and Vice President, which the girls find odd since the twins generally don't care about school. Kirstee promises her Dad will give free nose-jobs to anyone who votes for her. Burdine reveals that she plans to help Kaycee and Kirstee win class president so they can destroy the Bratz.

Dylan is also running for president and films a video with Eitan to promote his campaign, although he's really only doing it because he think's it will make him more popular with the ladies. He plans to ask Cloe to be his "running mate" as she has more experience with student government than him.

Cloe bumps into Kaycee and Kirstee in the magazine office building elevator and asks them what they will do if they are elected. Kaycee accidentally lets slip that Burdine is the one who told them to run for president. Later that night Cloe has a nightmare of the twins winning and turning the school into a pink prison controlled by Burdine.

The next day Cloe tells her friends she can't risk letting the Tweevils win class president and is going to sign up to stop them winning. The girls immediately decide to support her; Sasha as her campaign manager, Yasmin as her speech writer and Jade as her image consultant. She rushes to the school and signs herself up, much to Dylan's disappointment.

Kaycee and Kirstee overhear Sasha, Jade and Yasmin practising a cheer routine for Cloe's campaign and realise they have new competition. When Burdine finds out she is furious and tells the girls to "get ugly".

Cloe's campaign quickly starts to destroy Dylan's work and he confronts Cloe and tells her he doesn't want to see her humiliated when she looses to him. He offers to make her his Vice President instead, but she declines his offer. Kaycee and Kirstee interview Cloe about her duties as Class President; she states she would ensure everybody has a say in student government, raise money for new computers, a better science lab and new gym uniforms.

After Dylan fails to harm Cloe's campaign by showing unflattering photos of her to the students Eitan quits as his campaign director. Kirstee and Kaycee show the class an edited video of Cloe saying she doesn't care about the students and only cares about herself, angering the other students. After backlash Cloe decides to resign.

Cloe overhears Burdine tells Kirstee and Kaycee that once they're in office their job is to hand out free copies of Your Thing magazine to all students and ban Bratz Magazine from being read on the school premises.

Cloe realises Burdine is behind it all and quickly enters herself back into the presidential race, this time running as co-president with Dylan. Whilst Cloe is collecting signatures for her campaign, Dylan secretly video tapes Burdine admitting that she faked the video so that Cloe would lose the campaign.

Dylan shows the tape to the students during a debate and the Tweevils are heavily booed. Cloe stops the tape and offers to debate the Tweevils fairly so that the best person wins. They have a debate which ends with the Tweevils fighting and Cloe ends up winning the election with Dylan as her Vice President.
